Weekly Digest: If You Aren't Growing You're Dying

The successful and fulfilled person must develop new skills and try different things!

With January brought a lot of new opportunities for me to evolve and while advancing into the unknown certainly adds to an often already overwhelmed mind, one true thing in life is new skills and challenges frequently appear just when you need them!

My Online Business May Go Local

No, I’m not going to stop having a remote business. I absolutely love the flexibility and diverse set of clients it brings. BUT, we are settling into our life here, and it is time for me to start using my expertise to help the local community. This quarter my plan was to host a number of free workshops for those who could benefit from learning the foundational steps of a successful financial plan.

Ironically, just when I was at a loss of where to host, how to spread the word etc. it turns out my church may be looking for someone to bring this type of education to not only our congregation but maybe others in the North Country.

SOPs & Learning New Planning Tools

This year my plan is to fully codify our standard operating procedures and become more streamlined. Part of this initiative includes implementing some real time planning tools in our client meetings. We want meetings with clients to be as time-efficient, effective, and most importantly—informative as possible. So, the last few months have been filled with learning some new planning tools to help us do exactly that. We have already received some great feedback. It’s vital for online businesses to harness technology to further provide quality advice!!
