Everything worth doing in life is harder and takes more time than we imagine.
I’ve spent a year building the foundations of something new. It’s taken that long to figure out how to regularly create financial education that was entertaining, helpful, and focused on real strategies that people can implement in their own plan. For anyone who has built a presence online, you know the challenges. The successful creators make it look a lot easier than it is!
Definitely not there yet; I have a ways to go in growing our audience here on YouTube, Twitter, and Instagram. And the behind-the-scenes processes are constantly in need of fine-tuning.
How do I know I’m on the right track, though?
Well, there are definitely signs. Many of my clients will comment to me in our meetings or via email about a post, newsletter, or video I created. Sometimes the discussion is how the information helped them understand a financial concept or that the concept is something they want to explore further in their own planning—other times it’s of a personal nature and something about my life encourages them to share their own with me. I absolutely love that!
This week, I had a big sign when I received an actual sign for my office from a Client!
I share this little tidbit to encourage you wherever you are in whatever endeavor you have. It does not mater if it’s financial—whatever it is—keep going. No one knows how much work it is, or how often you doubt. But make sure you look for the signs—because everything worth doing in life is harder and takes more time than we imagine. The only way we accomplish what we want is to keep going, and using the signs to encourage us!

Annuities & Retirement: Why NOT Purchasing One Might Be The Best Move For You
Retirement annuities are a popular discussion online and I receive a lot of questions about this from clients and prospects. Data shows people are asking questions like, what are annuities? What is the best annuity for retirement? How do annuities vs 401ks perform? What needs to be asked though, is—are annuities even a good idea for your retirement plan?
In this video, I provide reasons why I don’t usually recommend annuities in retirement plans for my clients and what you should be doing instead of planning to buy an annuity.
